It's a firsthand look at Holland's incredible flower auction which is the largest in the world. We work hard and are passionate about remaining the expert in flower growing. Henk Onings, with Onings Holland a bulb exporter in Holland, gives us some insight about the auction. It does make for quite a sight.

Skyline works closely with lily breeders, bulb distributors and the best in the flower industry to produce the highest quality flowers. But to make sure you get the freshest flowers in America, we grow them in California.

Look at Beautiful Holland & more on the Lily Industry

HOLLAND & SKYLINE FLOWER GROWERS - 2nd Video

Have you seen the beautiful country of Holland? If not, we give you a look at what we saw on our journey and a closer look at the lily industry.

In this video, we talk with Emiel van Tongerlo of Zabo Plant. It's a bulb distributing company that works closely with Skyline and is located in Holland. "We are just a nice industry of lilies. I like enjoying the flowers so I guess we need to bring that emotion to the whole world," said van Tongerlo.

We at Skyline agree and give you a snapshot of what we saw and it includes windmills, the old fashioned ones and new ones. We also saw Amsterdam's amazing canal and downtown as well as gorgeous beaches and waterways. But of course, it's known for its incredible flowers.

"The reason we grow so many flowers here is the combination between the soil and the climate. We have a very mild climate because we are close to the sea," said van Tongerlo.

In fact, about 20 percent of Holland is located below sea level.

He goes on to say, "The main thing is the soil which bulbs like. If you go back some years, there was a really small assortment of lilies. Now, by breeding the last 20 years people are able to have all types of lilies. Those without smell, bicolor types, good reds for Christmas, good whites for Christmas, orange for Fall, pink for Spring and so all kinds of colors for every event.

Holland & Skyline Flowers

It is a breathtaking view!!!! We saw many beautiful fields of flowers in Holland. Here's just one of the many we saw in that country. In fact, we grow Anemones similar to these right here in California.

Again, we work closely with flower companies in Holland to grow the best flowers for our customers. There are so many layers to the flower industry. We hope you'll watch our social media sites as we continue to share more about "Dutch Lily Days" over the next few months. Feel free to ask us about our experience and what you want to know about it.

The beginning of the Holland beauty

Written by Monica Quintero, Skyline's Promotions & Marketing Director

Thank goodness all of the Holland pictures have now been downloaded! If you're a photographer or newscaster, you know what seems so simple can take hours, days or even weeks when you shot as many pictures and videos as I did. Plus, you've got to label and log the interviews. As I said, this was a photographer's dream.

I hope you'll enjoy seeing the beauty I saw representing Skyline Flower Growers. I worked closely with Onings Holland, Zabo Plant and Flamingo Holland Inc to make this happen as well as a handful of other flower companies. Those three companies are bulb distributors and I'll be explaining what that means over the next weeks.

You'll be seeing videos featuring these companies and the latest varieties of flowers. Some of these flowers are still years away from hitting the consumer market. This was all part of "Dutch Lily Days!"

This particular flower is called "Apricot Joy" and was featured at Onings Holland. It is quite unique and gorgeous.
