We are a FLOWER GROWER which means we are the FARMER. For more about us, check out our website: www.skylineflowers.com.

Learn more about Skyline's French Tulips

They're as fresh as you can get, straight from the farm. While we do grow some of our flowers year round such as Ranunculus, Dahlias and Gerberas and we're known for that, these gorgeous French Tulips are only grown at Skyline Flower Growers for a short period.

We also grow several different types of Tulips including Regular, Peony, Renown Unique and Parrot. The Tulips tend to keep growing after they are cut. The blooms gravitate towards light and warmth so their stems tend to grow towards that.

As far as French Tulips, they are larger than Regular Tulips. Their average bloom size is between 2-3 inches and an average stem length of 22 inches. If you're wondering what colors we have, we do grow lots of different colors. Today, we are cutting them in pink, red, yellow and white.

Do you want them standing up in your vase or flopping to the side? We've talked about this before and will have a video showing you how to get the desired look in your vase. That will be posted in the near future.

French Tulips now available at Skyline

It's always a customer favorite! We are now cutting French Tulips in pink, yellow, red, light orange and peach. Contact your Sales Representative to make sure you don't miss out on these beauties.

Our flower experts at Skyline recommend cutting your French Tulips with the sleeve on the flowers and putting them in a vase if you want your flowers to stand up straight in the vase. However, if you prefer them bending down then they say go ahead and take off the sleeve before cutting them.  It's something to keep in mind.  We'll show you the difference in a future blog.

Symbolic meaning of white tulips

Happy Friday friends! Today, we want to share with you a picture of a simple but elegant white wedding bouquet. It's Pinterest Inspired: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/380694974722019812/.

As far as their symbolic meaning, some say white tulips represent purity, innocence, forgiveness and respect. They are a great flower for a wedding or to give as an apology. According to several websites, the tulip is the national symbol of four countries: The Netherlands, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

Do you know the national flower for the United States (without researching or googling it)???? We'll be sharing the answer to that in a post coming up in the near future. We hope you are learning some interesting flower information and also want to hear from you. What do you want to know about? Drop us a comment or message Skyline Flower Growers and we'll do our best to answer it.
