(The Flame Tulip)
Finding out the history and meaning of flowers can be interesting and it seems there are many who have different views. From what I've seen, tulips originated in ancient Persia and Turkey. In this region, it became fashionable for men to wear tulips in their turbans. It is from this practice that tulips derive their name. Tulip means turban in Persian.
