Lilacs - symbolize the first emotions of love

Skyline grows what's considered "mild climate lilacs."  The color is that of a pale tone of a violet and has a fragrance described by some as a sweet, mild perfume fragrance.  While the ones we grow are beautiful, they are small in size if you compare them to lilacs grown in South Dakota.  However, the ones in that state could be difficult to put in arrangements because of their size.  To grow lilacs, they require a certain amount of chill hours (below 36 degrees).  A lot of fruits are like that as well.

In the language of love, lilacs are known as the 8th wedding anniversary flower and the state flower of New Hampshire.  They are also frequently considered a harbinger of spring, with the time of their bloom signaling whether spring will be early or late.  It also symbolizes the first emotions of love, while white lilacs represent youthful innocence.
